I've cared for words and found solace in language all my life. As a kid, I discovered that stories make the very best company. Often, I kept a stack of library books under my bed, reading voraciously through the night. Eventually, I would go on to earn a PhD in English literature from McMaster University. As a research fellow at Queen's University and the University of Tasmania, I published my first book monograph, Imagining Justice, with McGill-Queen's University Press, and co-edited a substantial volume of essays, Literature for Our Times, for Rodopi Press. It was then that I knew I needed to pursue professional editing in earnest.
I can't imagine a better gig in the world: I get to cultivate trusting relationships with people whose work I come to care deeply about, and I spend much of my life thinking about words and ideas. I live on the shores of Lake Simcoe in central Ontario with my partner and three children, where I enjoy hiking, cycling, swimming, and of course, savouring all kinds of books.
